THE RACE
The third edition of Raid Tierra de Cameros is here. An adventure race that will surprise you with its routes and spectacular landscapes, this time with spring colours.
La Rioja is much more than wine and hides surprising places for adventure. We are working on a unique, challenging, dynamic and fun route, with a wide variety of activities and landscapes.
RTC is part of the European adventure racing series.

CATEGORIES
ARWS EUROPE: Mixed teams made up of four athletes, that is, there must be at least one boy and one girl in each team.
It will not be necessary to have your own assistance, since the organization will be in charge of transporting the material of the transition teams in transition.
Participating teams will have the possibility of completing the complete RTC2025 route and will be eligible for official prizes.
If, during the race, a team fails to pass any of the cuts, it will go to the Short course.
All teams will score towards the ARWS ranking.
*Participation of non-mixed teams of 4 or teams of 2 people is also possible in this category (out of the ranking).
ADVENTURE (Short Race): Subcategories: Male - Mixed - Female
Teams made up of 2 athletes.
It will not be necessary to have your own assistance, since the organization will be in charge of transporting the material of the transition teams in transition.
Course to take between 10 and 15 hours.
Category outside the ARWS ranking, but with prizes for the first 3 teams in each subcategory.
DISCIPLINES
-
ORIENTEERING: Orienteering can be considered the main discipline of the race, since in all sections the teams will have to advance with the only help of the map and compass. Having at least one good browser on your computer can be key when it comes to achieving a good final result.
There may also be a special walking orientation section.

TREKKING: There will be a wide variety of terrains during the trekking stages. Forests, mountains, trails, cross-country...

MTB: A wide and diverse network of trails, with significant gradients but with unique landscapes.

ROPES and CANYONING: A section of canioning is planned, where you will have to walk along a stream and descend with a rope.

CLIMBING: There will be a climbing section, in which one of the team members will have to complete an easy grade route (IV, V).

ARCHERY: At one point on the course, you will have an archery section. You will have to reach a minimum score with a limited number of shots. If you do not reach this score, you will have to visit a penalty CP.

OTHER DISCIPLINES: The race will have other disciplines that we will define in the coming weeks.

RULES
Raid Tierra de Cameros 2025 is governed by ARW rules.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
The ARWS has a standard equipment list for all races, which you can consult here.
Later, we will define the list of mandatory materials that will be specifically necessary for RTC2025.
MAPS
In RTC2025, maps based on Mapant cartography will be used, reviewed and updated by our work team. The symbology used in these maps follows the IOF ISMTBOM regulations.
